Francesca Dimech is a bilingual, Cardiff-born-n-Cardiff-bred musician who has been on the music scene in Wales for over a decade, playing in bands and playing solo.
Armed with a guitar and a heavy dose of fun and humour, she enjoys performing in pubs, clubs, parties, special events and care homes. She has a large repertoire, of songs from Vera Lynn to Ella to Bowie, Britney and Billie Eilish.
If you're lucky, she might throw in some risque Francesca's Word Salad originals.

Here is the reason why...
"On 15th August 2016, my husband Pete Alner was diagnosed with primary lung cancer and a secondary brain tumour. Pete died at The Marie Curie Hospice, Cardiff and the Vale (formerly Holme Towers, Penarth.)
Pete and I had been together, inseparable, for 32 years. He was a great guy - he loved Rugby... more rugby, walking the hills and coasts of South Wales, music (particularly The Divine Comedy), art, theatre, and - best of all - a pint of Real Ale, poured flat just as it should be!
To try and salvage something positive from what is a truly terrible situation, a few of Pete's family and friends have come together to form a small fundraising group- Pete's Flatbeer Fundraisers 2017.

Having had such a good time in the snow back in March, several of Canton's finest establishments are once again pulling together to celebrate the best the neighbourhood has to offer. Canton Beer Festival Mk 2 is a two-day collaborative event, co-hosted by Chapter, St. Canna's Ale House, The Lansdowne Pub, Pipes Beer, and new addition The Bone Yard. Each venue will have a unique set of summer beers for you to sample, as well as great entertainment and activities.

The first ever vegan beer festival in Wales will feature beers, ciders, wines, spirits, a selection of great food, live music and more.
Stalls will include Pipes artisan brewery from Cardiff, Bang-On brewery from Bridgend, Mad Dog Brewing Company from Monmouthshire, Those Vegan Pizza Guys, Vegangela Rose Cakes including her famous savoury pastries and CaribSwede Vegan Bakery with hot Caribbean food and Swedish bakes. More announcements of stalls will follow.
Pontypridd brewery Bragdy Twt Lol can't make it the festival but their beers can. We have a stall selling them.
A percentage of ticket sales will be going to FAUNA Wildlife Rescue and they will also have a stall with Cardiff Animal Rights.
It should be a great day of drinking vegan beer, eating vegan food and supporting worthwhile animal causes.

The shop will open at 9.30am for all your limited edition vinyl needs. We'll be open until 4pm and then heading down town for our musical festivities.

Jog On May! General Election Now! Party At Blue Honey LocalMay has finally decided to leg it and we don't know which member of The Addam's Family will replace her. We need a general election but until then we need reasons to be cheerful. Come down to Blue Honey Local's garden for a yurt-load of good stuff. Francesca's Word Salad and Cosmo will be bathing us in musical goodness and afterwards we'll have a fine selection of spoken word and poetry from Dee Dickens and Taz.
